A little about J.M. Jinks:

J.M. Jinks lives with her husband, two dogs, and two cats in Southern California. She is a teacher by day and a writer by night. J.M. and her husband are excited to announce they are expecting a baby boy in May 2018.

J.M. has always had a love of reading that progressed into writing. She tried to write books even when she was very young, but she never completed a manuscript until she finished Mostly Innocent.

Like any author will tell you, when you have a story in your head, it is much like having a song in stuck in your head: you can't get it out until you listen to it. J.M. had Mostly Innocent stuck in her head for months, it wasn't until she sat down to write it she realized the passion she had for writing. She completed the first draft of Mostly Innocent in a manner of weeks. She didn't know if she wanted to publish or if she just wanted it for a cathartic experience. She joined a few writing groups on Facebook and Twitter and shared parts of the original draft with beta readers, other writers, and people who just wanted to read something new. She found out, to her surprise, people actually liked her writing. It was from their feedback, she decided to look into the process of publishing.

Mostly Innocent has come a long way from that original draft, as J.M. learned more and more about the craft of writing and received, most importantly, feedback from readers and other writers alike. If it were not the encouragement of the writing community, social media, and a of brave group of strangers deciding to read something that could've been utterly horrible, J.M. would never be publishing or trying to make a career out of writing.

J.M. herself loves to read fantasy, paranormal, urban fantasy, romance, scifi, and dystopian novels. But any book with a great voice intrigues her. She has been inspired by JK Rowling, Sarah J. Maas, Richelle Mead, Jennifer L. Armentrout, Scarlett Dawn, Ray Bradbury, Ayn Rand, Coleen Hoover, Laura Thalassa, Erin Watt, Darynda Jones, and a million more.
