2026 AMA Short Course Cross Country Championships and Teams Relay in conjunction with the AA Cross Country Championships
August 22, 2026 - Individual AMA 5-year age group events
August 23, 2026 - AA mixed-team relays - 10-year age groups

** Teams must enter via the AA entry portal. Each team selects a Team Captain who will enter the team and pay the entry fee.
*** If you want to do a relay and do not have a team organised, you can contact the Team Manager, who will assist in getting teams put together. This MUST happen well before entries close on August 4.

AMA Rules and Regulations -
State/Territory uniforms must be worn for the individual competition.
Only financial members of State/Territory Masters Associations are eligible to compete at the AMA Short Course Championships.
Athletes may only compete within their age group category in individual events.
Medals to the top three placegetters will be awarded on the day.
The entry fee for individual events will be $65 through the EML Sports entry portal.

Mixed Relays information:
The relay will consist of teams of 2 men and 2 women each running one loop of the course. The order varies by age group; see technical regulations
Athletes can only run in one relay team; however, they can run in a different age group (up, not down) to make up a team. Master's age is as at the first day of competition
The 2k lap will be used. The takeover zone will be 20 metres long, of which the scratch line is in the centre. No baton will be used. Entrance and exit of the takeover will be marked according to World Athletics rules.
All the athletes of a team will enter the Call Room at the same time.
The following age groups will be offered.
Masters 40+
Masters 50+
Masters 60+
