Hello! I am the counselor for the Fine Arts Academy and I will be working closely with you during your 4 years at McCallum. My background in the Fine Arts began during my childhood. As a little kid, I specialized in drawing horses and dancing (often to my own drum). I began playing the clarinet in band and learning more art in middle school. In high school, I continued with band and began my lifelong love with theatre and dance. I majored in theatre in college and moved to LA to try my hand at being a movie star! After several years, I came back to Texas to study psychology and teach children's theatre. I had a stationary and paint your own pottery store for many years before becoming a middle school theatre teacher. I came to Mac 9 years ago to begin my favorite career of being a School Counselor as well as becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I believe that being the Fine Arts Counselor at McCallum High School is the best job in the world and I am very happy to be here!
As your counselor, I am here for you. Some of the things I can help with are your graduation plan, scheduling, grades, issues you may be having with anxiety, friends, teachers or even if you are just having one of those days. I am here to answer any questions and to help you to the best of my ability.
I love it when students email me with questions or stop by my office to say "Hi!" You are always welcome to come to my office with a question or any problem that you may be having.
