What the College & Career Counselors do at Austin High
The College and Career Center provides leadership, support, and coordination on campus and within the Austin High community with the goal of supporting all students equitably in their post secondary planning. We are here to assist students, parents, faculty, and community members engage in the process of postsecondary planning, research, readiness and support. There are three professionals in the College & Career Center who work together to disseminate relevant information on higher education opportunities, careers, scholarships and financial aid, gap years, military, and jobs. We have developed long-lasting, effective partnerships with Austin area businesses and colleges around the world. The College & Career Center also provides professional development to faculty while offering many opportunities to learn about the ever evolving college admissions process.
