I enjoy supporting my students as they pursue their goals! If you want me to write a recommendation letter for you, here is my policy:
Requirements:
You have earned an A in at least one of my courses (or I have expressed a desire to write a letter for you to provide context for a grade lower than A).
you have maintained contact within the last year.
you have asked me if I will serve as a reference. Do NOT provide my contact information to institutions/programs/companies without getting my permission first.

give me at least 3 weeks to write your letter
provide full name and addresses of each school, program, job, scholarship, etc you are applying for (unless you are using an application service like Interfolio, AMCAS, PharmCAS, etc)
provide information regarding deadline(s) and delivery instructions.
provide a draft of your resume or curriculum vitae
provide a draft of your cover letter or Statement of Purpose (if an essay is required for your application).
complete a FERPA release form (I will provide upon agreeing to write your letter)
waive your right of access to references

write recommendation letters from 1 Dec - 31 Jan. Further, if I am away on break, you will get an auto-response to your inquiry letting you know when I am available again.
provide recommendation letters directly to students for them to upload themselves. I only send references directly to the receiving portal or institution.
Once I agree to be a reference and completed delivery of my recommendation, I will e-mail a confirmation to you.
