• Accepted into pharmacy school at The University of North Texas Health Science Center

• Maintained A's in all classes

• Went to a chemistry seminar on a whim that ended up leading them to a career path they truly excited about, and applied for an exciting internship opportunity

• Overall came out of the semester with a new level of confidence...feeling really proud that they were able to meet the challenges that came with their course load.  They feel more prepared for their academic career after ACC.

• Earned an internship at the ACC Bioscience Incubator

• Joined ACC's Alpha Gamma Pi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and participated its Wellness Committee.

• Earned 2 A's and is enjoying their first apartment!

• Volunteered for 6 organizations this year! Favorite locations are Zilker Botanical Garden and Austin Creative Reuse. They will also start as a cat care volunteer for Austin Pets Alive in Fall 2024.

• Completed Missions 1 & 2 with NCAS (NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars) and was accepted for the 3rd.

• Earned a full-time paid internship at UT in the Department of Integrative Biology.

• Has built a great relationship with her STEM Muse Mentor.  This program is in partnership with SAGES (Society for Advancing Gender Equity in STEM)

• Participated in 4-day natural product extraction & analysis workshop hosted by Renue by Science (ACC Bioscience Incubator member company

• Earned a position with NIIMBL eXperience (The National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing Biopharmaceuticals) at the University of Houston.

Marissa S |  2024 Spring

• Earned a summer REU with the BEHAVE Program at Johns Hopkins University.  This REU is sponsored by the NSF and the Leadership Alliance. 

Juan M  |  2024 Spring

• Completed all 3 missions of NCAS (NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars) and was highlighted by the ACC Newsroom after finishing the 2nd mission.  For the final mission, he visitted Ames Research Center in California’s Silicon Valley.
