Happy LGBTQ2SIA+ Month!

Why We Look Back

Every turning point has to have a beginning, these events had their humble but proud start with the very first public demonstration for gay rights in the United States when a small group picketed against the US treatment of gay people on September 19, 1964.

Fast forward to June 28, 1969, "Pride Month" came about in memory of the brave actions taken by the LGBTQI community standing up for their rights at the Stonewall Inn. It has taken decades for our Rights and Liberties to get to where they are today and there is yet, so much more to be done. It is and has been an arduous and sometimes painful journey.
