☐ Schedule your office hours. All faculty must have scheduled office hours. Adjunct hours are one hour a week per class, and full-time faculty office hours can be calculated here.
☐ Confirm your course is on the Fall 2020 schedule.
☐ Confirm the beginning, ending and holiday dates of the Fall 2020 semester.
☐ Create a course schedule.
☐ Update your course syllabus.
☐ College Policies (pandemic version) are in a separate document. Be sure to provide your students with both.
☐ Review your syllabus with ACC’s syllabus checklist.
☐ Post your syllabus and office hours to Lighthouse- this is a hard deadline.

☐ Review roster of your students in online services.
☐ Email your students via Blackboard to let them know the online requirements for their summer course.
☐ Conduct an ice breaker so students can get to know you and their classmates.
☐ Show them your own professional work.
☐ Present your students with the course syllabus, and review all items with them.
☐ Let students know tutoring is available, and a schedule will be posted in following weeks.
☐ Review your plan/schedule for online meetings.
☐ Certify attendance from your students in online services.
☐ Faculty evaluation: remind students to check their email for info about evaluations.
☐ Consider giving students a mid-semester grade report to inform the student of their course status.
☐ Check your attendance and roster, and review your options if students have stopped attending. This may include withdrawal or incomplete status. ACC has updated their withdrawal and incomplete policies for students during the pandemic. As this information may be evolving, please reach out to your section leader or the Department Chair if you have any questions.
☐ Submit your grades in online services. If any of your students have a failing grade, be sure to also document the last date they attended class.
Timely submission of grades is a required hard deadline, and is tracked by upper administration.
Missing this deadline more than once may result in a change in status for future teaching assignments, and you may not get future teaching assignments.
