It is with a great deal of hope and faith in the strength of our school community that I welcome you to the 2020-21 school year at Foothills Middle School. On behalf of the faculty and staff, I wish to express our great appreciation not only for the patience and resilience of our students, but also for the support and partnership with parents and families. I have great confidence that whether you are new to Foothills or a returning student, you will quickly find that every member of the Foothills community believes student success is inexorably linked to home-school communication and connectedness.

Considering that for the first time in my nearly two decades of serving as an educator in the Arcadia Unified School District we will begin this school year virtually, there has never been a more important time to foster consistent communication and support among students, parents, and teachers. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or to me with questions, concerns, to share a celebration, or to ask for assistance. In turn, I ask that you ensure your children attend classes daily, participate in planned activities, and do their very best each day.
