It is without a doubt that this pandemic has left many people in search of normalcy. Part of achieving that feeling of "normal" is having kids back in classrooms. The state and county have established a complex and frequently changing set of regulations and requirements for schools to reopen for in-person instruction. AUSD parents have made it clear they want the choice to either send their children to school or to remain learning from home for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year. We are committed to allowing parents to make this important choice with as much information as possible.

AUSD district administration, principals, and members from the Arcadia Teachers Union have been meeting to make practical sense of the rules to reopen, ensure COVID-19 safety protocols are in place, and develop possible schedules for an optimal learning environment for both those that want to return to in-person instruction and those that prefer to continue with virtual instruction.
