Technology

The AUS Middle School Technology program builds upon the skills developed in the elementary school where students are encouraged and challenged to be creative as they find new ways to utilize technology to solve real world problems. Our Technology curriculum is founded on the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards which focus our efforts to create empowered learners, digital citizens, knowledge constructors, innovative designers, computational thinkers, creative communicators, and global collaborators. The technology department at AUS strives to blend the 21st century skills of critical thinking, creativity and collaboration into a technology-infused learning environment. Our program utilizes state-of-the-art lab spaces that allow students to immerse themselves in building their skills and their knowledge around technology.

Our teachers ensure that as technological choices expand, students are well guided toward choosing and arranging materials appropriate to achieving their specific goals.
