Middle school physical education classes provide learning experiences that meet students’ developmental needs. This assists in improving mental alertness, academic performance, readiness, and enthusiasm for learning along with the knowledge, skills and confidence to enjoy a lifetime of health-related physical activity. Students participate in a wide variety of activities that develop a balance of skills, concepts, game activities, rhythms, and dance experiences designed to enhance the cognitive, motor, affective and physical development of every student. Through daily physical education activities, students have the opportunity to question, integrate, analyze, communicate, and gain a multicultural view of the world. Classes are designed so that ALL students are involved in activities that allow them to remain continuously active.
