About Lights

The Aurora LIGHTS Health Sciences Pathway is a career pathway that is offered at North Middle School Health Sciences & Technology Campus. The Aurora LIGHTS Health Sciences Pathway is a member of the Aurora Public Schools Health Sciences Collaborative and is supported by partnerships on the nearby University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Aurora LIGHTS students have access to rigorous academics, field experiences, and medical campus resources that prepare them for success in high school and college, and offer choices for entry into careers in medicine and allied health professions.

Students enrolled in the pathway will participate in the following opportunities:

*A rigorous health science course in 6th, 7th and 8th grade

*Science fairs/science competitions

*Field Experiences on the Anschutz Medical Campus and beyond

*Guest speakers representing many careers in the health sciences
