Welcome to our NEW Mrachek Building!

APS Celebrates Mrachek Grand Opening!

Hundreds of APS staff, students and community members recently gathered to witness the grand opening of the new Mrachek Middle School.

The new school features a 130,000-square foot building with separate learning communities for each grade level and serves up to 1,000 students.

“As soon as I took the role of being a Mrachek Titan and walking into our new Titan territory, I knew this came along with new opportunities and new adventures,” said Isabella, Mrachek M.S. 7th grade student. “We can now achieve more for our futures because of our new atmosphere that fosters a better tomorrow.”

STUDENTS AND STAFF WELCOME BOND IMPROVEMENTS

Students and staff at many schools returned to their buildings this month to find new bond-funded construction and improvements that were completed over the summer.

Construction for Mrachek’s replacement school started last spring and continued through the summer. The foundation for the new building has been poured and walls are starting to rise. Work on the new building will continue throughout the school year and is scheduled for completion next summer.

Aurora voters approved the $300 million bond measure in November 2016 to fund new construction, building improvements and technology enhancements at all schools, which benefit all students in the district. To learn more about APS bond projects, visit bond.aurorak12.org
