Drama club is an enrichment performance program that students can learn staging, projection of voice, memorizing, dramatic movement, storytelling and various acting and dramatic skills.
These groups will have one musical or dramatic performance at the end of each semester for the school and for the community. To begin the year,3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 1st and 2nd grade students will meet on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Our intermediate drama club has written a wonderful musical for our December performance. "Thank You, Mary" is the story of a radio personality who can't help, but to listen to and help others. Unfortunately, her show is near the end and her ratings are dropping. She is asked to change her show, and herself. Does she help others, or become something she is not?
Come and find out for yourself on Thursday December 15th, at Century's Winter Performances at 6:00 PM in the Century Gymnasium.
Congratulations to our first and second grade drama club on your performance of "The Little Red Hen." During the next few weeks, students will be preparing for their role in the upcoming Winter Performances on December 15th at 6:00 PM in the Century Gymnasium.
Unscripted and ready to perform, students will be acting our favorite family traditions.
Coming in January 2017 -
Drama Club will be open to qualifying students in grades 2-5, where we will begin preparing the musical "the Elephant's Child" for a date in March.
