Boundary Process

PSA: The Aurora Public Schools Board of Education voted unanimously to approve the Paris Elementary School Scenario 2 boundary recommendation at their Dec. 13 Business Meeting.

In collaboration with the impacted schools leaders, the Division of Support Services, Division of Equity and Learning and the Division of Human Resources is working together to implement a master-transition plan for the impacted students, families and staff. The transition plan will be implemented over the coming weeks and months.


School Boundary Changes for Paris Elementary School

In May 2022, the APS Board of Education approved closing and repurposing recommendations for Region 1 of Blueprint APS. This includes closing and repurposing Paris Elementary School for alternative use by the end of this current school year. As part of the process for establishing a new school boundary for Paris students and families, APS convened an internal school boundary change committee. This committee assessed the attendance areas and enrollment capacities for schools in the surrounding area. The committee is recommending school boundary changes that would mean Paris students and families would be part of the following school communities starting the next school year (2023-24) depending on your home address:

  • Crawford Elementary School

  • Montview Elementary School
