Aurora City Schools is a 1:1 school district from grades K-12. This means that every student has access to a Chromebook, a powerful, Internet-enabled computing platform that literally grants each learner access to a world of information, as well as sophisticated tools for content creation.
This page is meant to serve as an overview of some of the important aspects of having a 1:1 initiative, and the opportunities this affords for the learning environments that are designed in Aurora classrooms.

The District offers "best effort" filtering through various means that meets or exceeds state and federal requirements for providing a reasonably safe Internet experience for our learners.
We continue to maintain a "see something, say something" approach to questionable activities performed on District technology. If you see any suspicious activity being carried out please report this to a trusted adult.
The District's AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) covers in detail the responsibilities of using District provided technology.
There are so many things that you can do with a Chromebook attached to the Internet. You can exponentially enhance your learning and your ability to create. There is no way to list all these tools and possibilities, there are simply too many, and new things come along every day. We can point you in the direction of some places that will give you a solid start to discovering this for yourself.
When a Chromebook stops working, our learners can take their device to the media center within their building for either repair of their device, or a replacement if necessary.
Any damage to Chromebooks may result in a fee in the form of a deductible.
Damaged chargers will result in a replacement fee as well.
