PROJECT - Room 8 Shopping!!!

Room 8 are wanting some new furniture in their classroom in the form of a shopping window and kitchen appliances. This is a job for our Innovators Group.

Below are a couple of examples of what kind of things Room 8 are looking for. Your creations do not need to be exactly the same, but have these features.

If you manage to complete one of these projects to an acceptable standard, you will be eligible for 2 credits in your academic, or digital key.

You must ensure that your completed product is well painted and/or sealed with varnish, and there are no sharp edges or rough surfaces.

PROJECT - Sound Lures

Project: Sound Lures

To aid trapping of pests (Possums, Stoats, Weasels and Ferrets) in our area we have begun the process of investigating and creating sound lures to be deployed in conjunction with traps. We have been working with a variety of community groups including the Department of Conservation, Project Mounga and the Local Council. We have been involved in 2019 in a Curios Mind Project involving local Iwi and Manaia Primary School to look at Whio Restoration in our Area.
