The Blarney Stone Theatre

The Blarney Stone Theatre is Kennedy High School's Theatre Program re-established in 2021. Holding the message of, "holding a mirror to society." With training in acting in Meisner by director John Hoganson, they have done several productions, such as, Murder's in the Air, A Gift to Remember, Little Shop of Horrors,  and The Importance of Being Earnest.

What is the Blarney Stone Theatre up to?

On October 20th, The Blarney Stone Theatre went to California State University Fullerton to work with college-level professionals to work to enhance their art. Students partook in workshops such as Musical Theatre Music, Physical Theatre, Acting for the Camera, Monologue Acting, and Lighting Design. Students ended the day with a performance of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night by CSUF Students.

The following day, the theatre family met bright and early at Woodbridge High School for the Role About Competition.  17 students attended, 2 judged - Mylah Cunningham, Michelle Perez; 2 volunteered - Jac Ekstein, Thalia Eclarinal; while 13 competed. After the preliminary rounds, 5 students made it into finals.

What's in store for the Blarney Stone Theatre?
