Our school enrollment is currently holding at 727 students. Our average daily attendance for the year is 93.27% as of December 12th. Of the 727 students, 102 have maintained perfect attendance, and 16 have had perfect period attendance since the start of the year. We’re so proud of our students’ dedication and commitment!
Our registrar, Tasha Johnston, shared with Certificated staff that 146 students have maintained a 4.0 and above for all 3 grading periods. We are confident in their continued success and can't wait to see them grow.
STAFF MEMBER OF THE MONTH
Tamara Pellow - Local Union President
Mrs. Pellow is a fierce advocate for our educators and a dedicated leader.
"Back in peak Covid, I considered joining Union Leadership.
Once I experienced what that was like, I stepped back from the table.
(I would never be able to sleep at night with all that on my mind…)
Tamara stepped up to the table and worked with Shaye.
Once Shaye moved on to CTA staff, Tamara became our Local Union President.
I am grateful to her for stepping up"… per Mr. Driver.
Thank you, Tamara, for making a difference.
Over the weekend, West Valley and Anderson students participated in the UC Davis Upward Bound Gingerbread STEAM Workshop. This hands-on activity challenged students to develop building plans, manage a budget, and construct stable, visually appealing gingerbread houses. The workshop provided an engaging way to integrate science, technology, engineering, art, and math principles, and the students excelled in their efforts!

VEX Competition
in Chico
Mr. and Mrs. Soksoda and the West Valley Robotics team participated in the VEX Robotics Competition in Chico. The team had the opportunity to observe a variety of robot designs and strategies from other schools. This experience sparked new ideas for improving their robots and game plan as they prepare for the January competition.
Mr. Jones' CTE Construction Tech class has been hard at work preparing for the upcoming Christmas Carnival. Students have demonstrated exceptional diligence and craftsmanship, creating Christmas tree shelves and wooden Christmas trees that will be featured at next week's event. Their dedication and skill showcase the value of hands-on learning and contribut to the season's festive spirit.
We certainly do not lack Christmas spirit this year! Mr. Chrasta's students have outdone themselves, creating the best classroom Christmas tree and decorations we've ever seen. The festive display was so inviting that all we needed was a fireplace, some milk, and cookies for Santa to complete the scene.
Our students' creativity and enthusiasm bring holiday cheer to the entire campus!
