Starting Monday, the Attendance team will kick off a weekly challenge!

For the next eight weeks, we’ll track perfect attendance. Every Monday, one student with perfect attendance from the previous week will be randomly selected to win a $10 Dutch Bros gift card!

This challenge is a great way to recognize students’ commitment and encourage accountability. Let’s make attendance a priority and celebrate those who show up!

Attendance Matters

Our school enrollment is currently at 718 students; we have gained four new students this past week. Our average daily attendance for the year is 92.94% as of February 6th. Of 718 students, 281 have maintained perfect attendance, and 88 have had perfect period attendance since the start of this semester.

Football Fundraiser Meeting

Join us on Monday, February 10th, at 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria for an important Football Fundraiser Meeting. We’ll discuss the April Crab Feed updates and distribute tickets for athletes to sell.

Science in Action: Investigating Bacteria on Stress Balls

When you walk into Mrs. Simonsen's office, it's hard to resist grabbing one of the many stress balls on her desk. This curiosity led her to text Mrs. Gonzales with an interesting idea—could they swab a stress ball to test for bacteria?

Mrs. Gonzales class took on the experiment and discovered some fascinating results! The bacteria are still growing, and students are eager to see what they learn next. 🧫🔬

Bringing WWI History to Life

For Project 4, in Mr. Weston's Honors History class, students explored World War I by selecting a country and profiling an influential figure who played a key role in the war effort. Many students got creative by designing social media profiles for their historical figures, making history both engaging and relevant!

WV Football Team Shares Super Bowl Stories with Young Readers

The West Valley Football Team members visited the Anderson Library to read Super Bowl-themed stories to local children. This special event helped inspire young readers while fostering community and leadership among our athletes.

EagleMadeCo is now capable of producing stickers! If the board is interested, the FFA dept can create AUHSD stickers for the board members and possibly for the District Office (DO).

WV JV Wrestlers & Varsity Girls

Shoutout to our Wrestlers!

Congratulations to our wrestlers who competed at the JV Championships and Varsity Girls Tournament in Orland this past weekend! 🏆

West Valley placed 5th out of 32 schools, with Gavin Gallardo, Austin Domke, and Thomas Beckman earning 3rd place and Aislynn Dulen-Fuller securing 4th place for the Varsity Girls' team.

Next up, they’ll be competing at Central Valley High School this Saturday, February 8th. Come out and support our Eagles! 🦅💪🔥

Track and Field Practice Pre-Season Workouts

Track and Field practice will officially begin on February 25th. If you want a head start, pre-season workouts are happening on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:00 PM on the track. Join us to get ready for the season!
