Mrs. McWilliams, Counselor at Anderson New Tech, recently received her very first nameplate—and she is absolutely in love! She has never had one in all her years with our district, making this a truly special and meaningful gift. Words cannot fully express her excitement and appreciation. Thank you to Eagle Made Co., Mr. Byxbe, and Mrs. Gibson for making this moment possible!
Happy Assistant Principal Day, Mrs. Simonsen!
We are so lucky to have Mrs. Simonsen as our Assistant Principal! She goes above and beyond daily to support our students, staff, and school community. Whether helping students, keeping things running smoothly, or being a friendly face on campus, her dedication does not go unnoticed.
Thank you for everything you do for West Valley —we appreciate you more than words can say!
STAFF MEMBER OF THE MONTH
Mr. Jones' Construction Technology 1 class successfully installed the first platform in the Attendance Office. This improvement has been a long time coming, addressing the limited visibility from the school window. The platform will help Attendance Secretaries better monitor parents and students entering and exiting the campus, enhancing safety and efficiency. The Secretaries are very excited about the added view and deeply appreciate all the hard work and dedication to making this project a reality.
On April 8th, West Valley High School hosted its Spring Concert, featuring choir, jazz ensemble, and drumline performances. The ensembles showcased diverse musical genres, including folk, jazz, pop, and funk. Many students stepped out of their comfort zones, with most performing solos for the first time. Their dedication and hard work were evident, and we are incredibly proud of their growth and accomplishments. These beginning groups have taken on challenges and exceeded expectations, delivering an outstanding performance!
