A transcript is an official record of a student's coursework throughout high school. High school courses taken during the middle school years also appear on a student's transcript. Transcripts only show final grades in a high school course. SOL scores are not included on transcripts. If Fort Defiance has a test score from the SAT or ACT in your name, those scores will also be included on your high school transcript. Transcripts are used in a variety of situations including enrollment verification; college admissions; scholarship consideration; and employment. Here at Fort Defiance High School, students (current and alumni) may request a transcript in variety of ways.
Parchment is the most common way of requesting a transcript. Students need to access their Parchment account to order a transcript. Once you have ordered a transcript, your school counselor will be able to upload your transcript to your chosen destination. Directions below are provided to show you how to access your Parchment account and order a transcript.
If you are using the Common Application website to fill out a college application, you need to let your school counselor know so your transcript can be uploaded to the Common Application website.
If you are using the SendEdu website to fill out a college application, you need to let your school counselor know so your transcript can be uploaded to the SendEdu website.
If you are using the Coalition Application website to fill out a college application, you need to let your school counselor know so your transcript can be uploaded to the Coalition Application website.
In-Person
If you need a physical copy of your transcript or if you need a transcript mailed to someone, stop by the School Counseling Office and fill out the transcript request form.
If you are applying to a college or university, you need to send an initial transcript when you complete the college application. At the end of the first semester, your school counselor will automatically send your mid-year transcript to any college/university that you sent an initial transcript. You do not need to request a mid-year transcript. At the end of the school year, you will fill out a senior survey letting your school counselor know where to send your final transcript.
If you have taken dual enrollment classes, you will need to send a college transcript from Blue Ridge Community College. Instructions are here. Fort Defiance High School can only send your high school transcript. We do not have access to your college transcript through Blue Ridge Community College.
We will periodically send out activation emails to your school email account. If you do not receive an email or if your activation code expires, contact your school counselor and we'll send you a new code.
