Positive Relationships

Hello ACPS families! For the month of February, we are focusing on building positive relationships.

It is incredibly important that children build positive relationships with each other. They may build friendships, romantic relationships, or other types of relationships. Each relationship they build has some common key features. Below are some resources that you can use to help your child foster positive relationships with their peers.

The visual resources discuss characteristics of good friends and positive relationships, as well has tips on making friends. We have also included some videos that stress the importance of cooperation, communication, and conflict resolution. There is a small group activity that you can complete with your child and some of their peers, or even siblings. Lastly, we have a tips and tricks page that discusses some genral strategies for building and maintaining positive relationships.
