The walls are bare. The hallways are empty. Why? The mirrors have gone missing. Where did they go? No one knows.
“I think the mirrors went missing because students were finding ways to cheat on their math homework with them.” said math teacher, Ms. Miller.
With no mirrors for students to look at themselves in slicked back hair hasn’t been slick for weeks, makeup hasn’t been cute, clothes and hair have been a mess. So why would they take away the mirrors?
“The mirrors definitely went missing because they were needed for a disco ball sculpture.” said art teacher Mrs. Walls.
When the mirrors were taken down, panic and anger set in. Rumors spread around the school on why they went missing. Was it the F students?
“The mirrors were used as a way to get led to put in the Chromebooks.” said Madline Manus
After further investigation, we find out the answer is simple. Ghosts.
Ghosts have been haunting the mirrors for years, we just didn’t know. The Ghosts have been getting angrier and angrier as the years go on. So they finally took action and showed themselves to the school.
The ghosts were in Antarctica where they originated. They were getting sick and tired of the cold, and wanted to meet their fellow paranormal buddy, Bigfoot, so they came to Washington. Once they got to Washington they searched and searched, but couldn’t find him. They came to auburn and saw our school mascot, Victor E. Bulldog, thinking he was bigfoot.
When they saw Victor they chased him around the halls.
"They chased me like I was their dinner or something. It was terrifying!" said Victor.
While they were chasing him by the bathrooms they were stunned. They looked in the mirrors and saw themselves for the first time ever. They looked a little too close in the mirror and BOOM! The ghosts got stuck in the mirrors, and have been there ever since.
On May 13, Janitor Bob was doing his everyday cleaning in the afternoon. He was going to clean the mirrors and then he saw it. A terrifying, teeth chattering, bone chilling ghost staring right back at him in the mirror. In panic, Janitor Bob took his drill from his tool kit and took down the mirrors.
"I was in shock. I didn't know what to do, so I just took them down." said Janitor Bob.
The next morning students started showing up for the school day. They walked the halls in shock, wishing the mirrors were still there. But little did they know, Janitor Bob saved them from having to see something they would never be able to unsee.
Madeline McManus look in the mirror only to see a different student looking back at her, Kylie Doan. The ghosts must have changed her appearence to scare her off! Above Kylie's head she saw a terrifying, chilling, ghoulish ghost in the mirror. PHOTO BY G. HENRY AND CANVA ILLUSTRATIONS.
