Hello, I’m Makayla Ridenour, a reporter for our Atoka Wampus Cat newspaper. We recently had our Annual Ice Cream Social for FFA. This event is a chance for old and new officers and leaders to get to know one another better or reconnect with old members. I sat down with our chapter president, Pacer Pingleton, and we discussed how he felt about how the Ice Cream Social went this year. He stated that he had a great time. Pacer said, "It doesn’t get much better than hot dogs, ice cream, and cornhole." He was excited to say that he met a lot of the incoming students and new FFA members and that he was able to reconnect with a lot of old friends and make some new ones in the process.
I asked Pacer how confident and ready he felt for this upcoming season and their team as chapter president. He said he was feeling confident. "I love all of our officers and I hope we can do some great things." Pacer is involved in almost every aspect of FFA. I asked him what it was he was most looking forward to this year, and he said that he was looking forward to competitions. He even mentioned he was hopeful for some first-place trophies!
Overall, Pacer felt that the Annual Ice Cream Social was a huge success and a great start to the season. We are looking forward to seeing all the achievements our FFA chapter accomplishes this year!
