Our Atoka chapter of FCCLA - Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America - has already started kicking off their leadership journey for this school year! On Thursday, September 14th, our chapter officers attended Lead Conference, which included a keynote speaker and workshops specifically for different officer positions. The officer team came back from Lead with a lot of new ideas for this year’s chapter!

That’s not all for our officers - there is another event centered around leadership coming up this month: District Leadership Conference. DLC is taking place on Tuesday, October 17th at Broken Bow High School. Any members are welcome to attend! Mrs. Meadows, our FCCLA Advisor, will be taking all those interested and it will count as an activity absence. If you would like to attend and learn more about leadership in your school and community, sign up in Mrs. Meadows’ room by Tuesday, October 10th. DLC is Barbie themed, so make sure to wear pink! Come on FCCLA, let’s go party!
