The all-day event had its highs and lows: Between a remote that failed to connect for one of the last rounds and drivers succeeding in scoring points through challenging obstacles and difficult tasks, the team had an eventful competition. AHS Robotics not only placed second and qualified to advance to Nationals, but they also received the sportsmanship award for having good attitudes and exemplary school spirit. Mr. Swift, the robotics and TSA advisor, shared, “{Robotics} provides a snapshot of the success of our STEM classes and programs in the Atoka school district.” Nationals will take place in Dallas, Texas next month. Swift stated, “This year’s high school robotics team is coming out of the gate at full strength. The numbers indicate a strong season for us.”
Our AHS Robotics team is bound for Nationals! On Saturday, November 4th, the robotics team attended the state competition. Chance Krueger, TSA president and robotics captain, said, “The robotics team did amazing work. I am so happy our team is doing so well.” While at the competition, the robotics team drivers operated the robot in rounds while trying to complete challenges for points. The team also has a group in charge of marketing and the exhibit, which advertises for the robot, who they call DocBot.
