On March 12th and March 27th, we will be offering curriculum contests. Curriculum contests are excellent opportunities that allow students to visit and tour Murray State College and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. While attending the Curriculum Day, students who excel in certain subjects and have been handpicked by their teachers will participate in academic competitions in a huge variety of areas. Those who place 1st-5th will receive medals. Seniors who place 1st-3rd will be awarded with scholarships from the two colleges that are stated above. 

What I am personally doing to prepare myself for these contests, is studying, and studying, and studying. I have been reciting, typing, and reading my stories and poems over and over again, and it has been a huge help. I think I have this contest in the bag. I bet you do too!

Talk to the teacher who picked you for a contest, make yourself a studying schedule, and dive in. Good luck!
