KTC Sophomore Showcase

    Every year the sophomores here at Atoka High School have the incredible opportunity to experience the Sophomore Showcase at KTC. This year the event was held on January 24th.  Our school counselor, Leslie Manion, said, “Our sophomores are fortunate to have the instructors from the Kiamichi Technology Center in Atoka visit with them about their programs that they offer. The instructors share their real-life success stories from being previous students at KTC.” From this experience, there have been countless students who pursue a continued education at KTC. KTC’s Student Services Coordinator, Tammi Stephens, stated, “The goal of the Sophomore Showcase is for 10th graders to explore programs of their choice offered at the tech center in order to make an informed decision about attending during their junior and senior years of high school.” According to Tammi, there were a total of 265 students who participated in this year's Sophomore Showcase. Both Tammi and Leslie agreed that this event was and is a great success!
