Every February, one week is devoted to all things Blue and Gold. While this might not affect most students, for us in the ag-world it is a massive deal. But what actually makes FFA week different from every other week? Well, from the dates Feb. 19-22, the Atoka FFA Chapter is hosting special events for our members! An added bonus is that there are points given to each student who participates! Points are important because they help earn your way towards State Convention. FFA Week is truly a golden opportunity for FFA members who are looking for points. I interviewed our FFA President, Pacer Pingleton, to get some commentary on FFA Week. He said, “FFA Week is my favorite week of the entire year! As President, I basically bleed blue and gold. I would do anything for my FFA. Working with my closest officers, Vice President Lucy Cochran, and Secretary Ginger Cochran, we have spent months on these events. I really owe most of the credit to them.”

Starting on Monday, our spirit day is Country vs. Country Club. We are also having a recruitment event at Harmony and Lane. On Tuesday, The spirit day is Dress like a Teacher, and the officers are taking a trip to the State Capitol. Wednesday, the spirit day is PJs. We are also making the annual teachers' breakfast. Thursday, everyone is encouraged to wear Blue and Gold or Official Dress (for double points).

It’s going to be an awesome week!
