Last week Atoka High School basketball competed in its first three games against, Kingston, Coalgate, and Quinton. The starters for the boys were Adonis Holiman, Prince Coleman, Keisean Shields, Jd Bland, and Karter Florence. Kaylee Washington, Shasta Whitmore, Kyleigh Richtie, Eden Eves, and Hadley Campbell made up the starting roster for the Lady Cats. For the boys, Atoka came out on top with a 45-43 win over Kingston, a 64 -31 defeat of Coalgate, and finished out the weak with a 56-51 win over Quinton. Right now Atoka boys have a winning record of 3-0 and have some competition coming up. These are the results for the Lady Cats: a 55-45 loss to Quinton, a 68-39 win against Coalgate, and a 62-51 loss to Kingston. The girls have a record of 1-2 with some competition coming up as well. Both of these teams have a lot of practicing to do and hope they make it to state. Go Wampus Cats!
