Chance Krueger is a Junior here at AHS, and he is involved in many programs like TSA, FFA, NTHS, Steller Explorers, and MATLAB. He said that one of his favorite competitions is TSA. Wampus Cat News recently contacted him in regards to making it through the first round of acceptance to the Air Force Academy as well as other things he's involved in.
Chance was recently selected as the winner of the Southeastern Electric Co-op's Student Leadership Competition. He won a free trip to tour Washington DC. For those who are curious, he had to submit an online media presentation about what cooperatives are and what makes them very unique to the standard business model.
One thing Chance is very passionate about is going into the Air Force. “I am extremely excited about it! Getting approved for the candidate section made me very happy, but I have a long way to go and a lot to prove,” Chance stated. Most students do have achievements, but for Chance his favorite accomplishment was beating Oklahoma City homeschool in state robotics. He states, “It felt so good to steal their 10- year streak.” That is a victory for Chance Krueger.
Chance, like most students, has his favorite class, and his is Advanced Programming, as he states, “It has allowed us to do things that people in the workforce need. Advanced programming has allowed us to do many things that will massively help in the future and give us more opportunities.”
He plans to attend East Central University in the heart of Ada, OK, close to home. Chance also plans to become a medical physicist after going for his PhD in Genetics. Chance is really awesome at representing AHS and will continue to thrive in the future. He is a really smart and strong- minded student, and you can always count on him to have tons of really good information.
