The secret to a quick adoption is a great profile. To keep your foster's adoption page accurate and engaging, we ask all fosters to refresh their foster pet's profile every 30 days.
How to Update Your Foster's Profile:
Every month, please email content@lifelineanimal.org with the following:
New Photos: High-quality shots that show off their personality.
Updated Bio: Tell us what you’ve learned about them this month!
Personality Traits: Key details (like "cat-friendly" or "house-trained") that make them searchable on the website for adopters.
Our Marketing Team will take it from there!
For a deep dive into photography tips, bio-writing templates, and social media secrets, explore our marketing toolkit below:
1. ATTEND ADOPTION EVENTS
Participating in community adoption events is a great way to meet potential adopters for your foster pet as well as meet other foster parents and volunteers. They are hosted by event partners around the city on nights and weekends. Sign up is required to attend.
2. POST ABOUT THEM ON SOCIAL MEDIA
In the digital age, posting about your foster is EVERYTHING! Post your foster on Instagram and tag LifeLine pages. Review the Marketing Toolkit above for specific pages.
Use the Adoptable Pets of LifeLine group on Facebook to post about your foster pet and connect with potential adopters online!
Don't know where to start?

PRO-TIP: Content is EVERYTHING!
Don’t be afraid to share it all! Whether it’s a goofy sleeping position, a "zoomie" session in the yard, or the way they tilt their head when they hear a squeaky toy, post anything and everything.
The goal is to show your foster pet in their best, most authentic light. Adopters fall in love with the "real" moments, so highlight those silly behaviors and unique quirks that make your foster pet one-of-a-kind!
