Valerie curtis, Ed.s
Prior to becoming an ATiM Specialist, Valerie was an assistant principal, building technology coordinator, and teacher over the last 15 years. After completing her bachelor's and master's degrees in Early Childhood and Elementary Ed., she went on to get her master's in Instructional Leadership and her Ed.S. in Instructional Technology.
Valerie is the 2019 recipient of Montevallo’s Outstanding Alumna award for Instructional Technology and is a former Region 6 Secondary Teacher of the Year. She has mentored other technology coaches in the state for the Alabama Leaders of Educational Technology Coaching Program (ALET- ALTIC).
Valerie strives to create relevant and memorable teacher-learning experiences and is relentless in the pursuit of learning for all. Although she works with teachers and school faculty, she believes that she works FOR the students in her schools, and that is what propels her. She is excited to have the opportunity to serve in YOUR school by offering professional learning experiences for teachers and leaders in the areas of technology, digital literacy, and computer science.
