Jennifer Priest has been in education for 18 years. She began her career in Blount County where she taught at Susan Moore Elementary for over 16 years. After teaching 5th-grade science for many years, Mrs. Priest facilitated her district’s first STEM Lab. Her experience in the lab led to an opportunity in a new leadership role as Arab City School’s Technology Integration Specialist.
Jennifer received a Bachelor’s and Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Jacksonville State in Jacksonville, Alabama. She also graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery with an EdS in Instructional Technology where she was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student in Instructional Technology. Mrs. Priest is also a Common Sense Educator and has her Google 1 & Google 2 Certifications. As a National Board Certified Teacher, Mrs. Priest has been leading and mentoring candidate cohorts for National Boards for two years.
Mrs. Priest’s passion for lifelong learning has been a driving force for her desire to mentor and coach teachers. She believes that technology in the hands of a good teacher can transform learning for students. Mrs. Priest is thrilled to be in a position to make an impact on teachers and students in the areas of technology, digital literacy, and computer science.
