Angela currently serves as the Alabama Technology in Motion Specialist for the University of Montevallo Regional Inservice Center. Her experience includes over 16 years of secondary classroom teaching and 15 years of technology coaching and leadership. Since 2020, she has often served as adjunct instructor for instructional technology graduate courses for the University of Montevallo.
Prior to joining the ATIM team as a Technology Specialist in May 2021, she held several positions including School Technology Coordinator at Mountain Brook Jr. High School, Technology Program Area Specialist for Shelby County Schools, and District Technology Resource Teacher for Shelby County.
Angela earned her Ed.S. in Instructional Technology from the University of Montevallo in 2016. She also holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from William Carey University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mississippi State University. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in AYA-Social Studies (2001) and successfully renewed for a second time in 2022. Angela is an ALTIC Certified Technology Coach through the Alabama Technology Integration Coaches Initiative - Alpha Cohort sponsored by ALET (Alabama Leaders in Educational Technology).
Angela lives in the Oak Mountain area of North Shelby County and her son is in 8th grade at Oak Mountain Middle School. She enjoys gardening, keeping up with Mississippi State athletics, and occasional travel adventures. In addition to her passion for all things technology, she aims to inspire innovation and creative ideas in educators. Her specialty is empowering others through high quality training and support, investing in the leadership potential of others, and building capacity for professional growth and endurance.
