Ateneo Residence Halls

To help accommodate students from farther regions and foreign countries, the Ateneo de Manila University has established several residence halls to assist in not only making the University and its facilities more accessible to the student body but to help new and returning students feel more at home and establish a community with their fellow residents. As of late especially, the University has established different Residence Halls to accommodate both local and international students, the latter now provided for with the new International Residence Hall. All halls are equipped with twenty-four hour security assistance, on-call ambulances, and CCTV cameras to ensure students’ safety at all times. All residents also have access to cafeterias, laundromats, kitchenettes, and study rooms/areas to provide maximum comfort and accessibility to necessary functions and the University’s various other services.

The residence halls are divided into three individual dormitories: Eliazo Hall for female students, Cervini Hall for male students, and a general, new University Dormitory. Home to over 900 students from all over the Philippines and counting, the University Dormitories serve as residence to undergraduate and graduate students. Rates for dorming are charged at over 50,000 PHP per person and/or every semester (every five months).

The new International Residence Hall is also made available to international and even local students who are capable of availing for its services. Standing at over five stories with around 310-bed facilities, the Hall is open to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty members, and even guests. Most rooms within this Hall are twin-sharing and provide semi-double sized beds (with mattresses), cabinets, study tables (with chairs and bookshelves), air conditioning, a refrigerator, Wi-Fi, toilet and bath water, and a ceiling fan. The Hall costs over 90,500 PHP or approximately 1,792 USD per person every semester, inclusive of a utility allowance of around 2,500 PHP or 50 USD per month.

Off-campus units are also available to students who either cannot be accommodated within the campus due to difficulties with rooming and/or expenses or prefer to dorm within their own premises. Most apartments and condominium units are available within the Loyola Heights area, with price ranges ranging from over 250 USD (for unfurnished units) to 500 USD (for semi-furnished or fully furnished units) per month.
