Ateneans leads initiatives to contribute to Ateneo's Sustainable Development

The University’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals extends beyond its faculty and administration, with students also making a contribution. For instance, student-led organizations of the Loyola Schools, tackle different social issues that relate to the SDGs, including quality education (e.g. Ateneo Gabay, Ateneo EDGE), reduced inequalities (e.g. Ateneo SPEED, Barefoot Philippines), and partnership for the goals (e.g. Ateneo CODE, Ateneo Students Promoting Inter-Religious Encounters). The same goes for the organizations under the Health and Environment Cluster, which tackles environment-related issues that relate to the SDGs, such as life below water (e.g. Institute of Skin Divers of Ateneo), climate change (e.g. Ateneo Global Climate Change Corps), and sustainable cities and communities (e.g. Ateneo Environmental Science Society). These different organizations have been working on efforts to promote the different SDGs through events, partnerships, and other initiatives.
