Drinking Fountains On Campus

Within the campus grounds of the Ateneo de Manila University, the University ensures that drinking fountains or stations are accessible in all its buildings and some common areas.

Aside from access and convenience, drinking fountains were also set up as a measure to reduce plastic waste on campus. Having drinking fountains is also a good alternative to single-use plastic, used, whether from plastic bottled water, or disposable plastic cups. Having easily accessible drinking fountains and stations supports and reinforces the practice of bringing water jugs to the campus to refill when needed.

The Office for Food Safety and Quality Assurance (OFSQA) works with the Central Facilities Management Office (CFMO) to ensure that the drinking fountains are maintained and are compliant with drinking water quality standards.
