Ateneo de Manila Research Presentation and Poster Templates

Introduction

It is Ateneo de Manila University policy that students may not use the university seal without explicit permission. Permission is often granted only when students officially represent the university in accredited competitions and events. However, since research presentations and posters, especially at the graduate level, are important academic matters, general permission is granted for the use of the brand, provided that the guidelines on this page are followed.

If you wish to use the university seal, please review the guidelines before proceeding with the design and production of your materials.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  • Research presentations and posters need not bear the university seal. If you do not wish to use the university seal, you may use the logotype and the official shade of Ateneo blue freely in your materials.

  • If you wish to use the seal, you may only use the university brand in a fixed size and location in the title and closing slides of your presentation, and on your research posters.

  • While we do not have the resources and procedures to review and approve academic presentations and materials individually, the office will appreciate it if a digital copy of materials bearing the university seal be emailed to branding@ateneo.edu.

  • Please email branding@ateneo.edu for any questions and concerns.

Research Presentations

Ateneo LS Grad Research Title Slides

This is a presentation template from the University Marketing and Communications Office, made upon the request of the LS Office of the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs. You may use or slightly modify the title slide or make your own design using the graphic elements and university branding in the file. Variations for dark and light backgrounds are enclosed.

You may only use university branding if you follow these rules:

  • You may only use the seal and logotype, as shown, on the lower left of your title slide, and, optionally, on the last slide, in the same position.

  • Do not alter the Ateneo de Manila seal and logotype in any way. Do not enlarge, reduce, change the location, crop, rotate, recolor, or otherwise modify its appearance and location.

  • The Ateneo seal may not appear on any other slides. You may use the logotype (see above) on those slides.

  • If using a photo or texture as a background, the area behind the seal should not be very busy, and should not impede legibility.

  • Do not put the branding inside a box.

  • Do not put any graphic elements, text, or any other logos near the seal. The ruler guides on the presentation template indicate this "exclusion zone."

  • Ordinarily, logos from any partner institutions/funders/sponsors may be placed on separate slides. You are responsible for following the brand standards of all partner institutions.

  • If you are certain that a formal institutional partnership between the organization and Ateneo exists, or if the logo is from an Ateneo de Manila school or entity, you may put their logos on the title slide, but only on the clear space to the right of the Ateneo de Manila Branding, outside the exclusion zone of the branding. No logos may be placed higher than the Ateneo seal.

  • You may use the template, or any variation of it without Ateneo branding.

This is a poster template from the University Marketing and Communications Office, made upon the request of the LS Office of the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs. You may use or slightly modify the title slide or make your own design using the enclosed university branding. Design variations are enclosed.

You may only use university branding if you follow these rules:

  • You may only use the seal and logotype, as shown, on the lower right of your poster, on the right-side white band.

  • The Ateneo de Manila brand signature must be the only logo on the right-side band of the poster.

  • Do not alter the Ateneo de Manila seal and logotype in any way. Do not enlarge, reduce, change the location, crop, rotate, recolor, or otherwise modify its appearance and location.

  • Do not put the branding inside a box.

  • Do not put any graphic elements, text, or any other logos near the seal.

  • Ordinarily, logos from any partner institutions/funders/sponsors may be placed on the lower portion of the left-side white band. You are responsible for following the brand standards of all partner institutions.

  • We discourage putting logos of institutions without formal institutional partnerships with Ateneo. Consider listing their names down instead.

  • You may use the logo from an Ateneo de Manila school or entity instead of the Ateneo seal and logotype on the right-side white band. Make sure that it has the name "Ateneo de Manila" incorporated into it, and in this case, do not use Ateneo de Manila branding anymore.

  • You may use the template, or any variation of it without Ateneo branding.
