Bulig means help in Waray, and here we are, once again, knocking on your hearts, asking for help to assist our brothers and sisters in Samar, whose lives were further disrupted by Storm Ambo.
We're looking for 1,000 people to donate 1,000 pesos each. This amount will help 2500 families by providing them with food and hygiene kits.
We are imploring for help, and please do share the call!

Beginning this day with the blessed news that we were able to complete not only the 50 donors for kalabasa, but also the 50 donors for kamote! Holy kamote and kalabasa, indeed! This means we will be able to complete the food packs for communities that need it most. Thank you and God bless you!
We still need donors for vegetables as more donors will mean more income for farmers and more communities served. If you are looking for ways to help, please consider this initiative!
As we continue to figure out the shape of our futures from our quarantined spaces, let us continue to remember that moving on must be inclusive and generous. We cannot move on alone! The health of one, is the health of all! Let us continue the work of being there for each other in whatever way that manifests in the stirrings of our hearts.
We hit our target 2 hours after posting our call for donations! Maraming salamat po! We are overwhelmed by your generosity! We're now starting a new drive for 50 more donors, this time, for kamote!
The story is below:
This is the scene on campus today: 10 tons of kalabasa land at the covered courts, thanks in part to the Department of Agriculture. Kalabasa is an excellent choice to give in a care package as it packs a punch nutritionally and can be cooked in many ways and has a long shelf life. It also helps farmers in Nueva Ecija sell their produce. In this example of creativity, we are given a glimpse of grace at work.
