Exploring our world during the Middle Ages, one great civilization at a time.

Unit 1: Empire, belief, and power

We begin our course by exploring how the world was connected in 300 CE. While it is true that Rome dominated Europe, it was only one of several significant powers at the time. Students will explore the complex empires of Eurasia, the Americas, and Africa by investigating their beliefs, relationships with one another, and eventual reasons for decline.
