Local recordings using both webcam in Zoom and professional Canon digital cinema camera
For high quality Zoom recording results, each participant on the call should record locally. These locally recorded files are then sent to a single location for editing and compiling into one presentation.
Zoom can also be used to support very high quality productions involving participants in a discussion, interview, or presentation using the Zoom software merely to merely facilitate the interaction. (e.g. in the ASU Study Hall series our presenters were recorded locally using a professional camera that was piped into a Zoom call for the director to interact and engage from another state). This same professional camera + Zoom setup is available in our MicroStudio. For best results the actual recording is done using professional cameras and microphones for each participant. With a bit of work it would not be too hard to set up the remote participants in the same way, assuming they have access to high quality cameras, microphones, and lighting equipment. (the key piece of equipment required is a converter to translate high quality audio/video signals from a professional video camera into USB which Zoom can use - examples include: INOGENI, Magewell, ATEM Mini, and more)
