Live-to-tape Recording
Given the quick turnaround needed on these videos, we decided the best approach would be “live-to-tape” filming. We set up three cameras (Wide shot, Medium Close-up, and an Overhead) to cover the lab and equipment demonstrations. Additionally, a laptop running the software being demonstrated was included bringing the total number of input sources to four. These four sources were live switched using the ATEM Mini Pro which output the mixed MP4 program video file via USB to a solid-state drive. Eliminating the need for post-production editing dramatically reduced production time.
