An Adobe Max success story
~15 mins after learning some new tips and techniques in Adobe Bridge I received a note from asking if I could identify the original source files and project from a 233 studio video recording produced over 7 years ago. Eeks! To make matters worse, the Wistia exports had also been re-edited several years ago by some other folks (against my recommendation) and the only sample that we had for reference was a low quality video on Google Drive with a file name that did NOT match anything in our system.
So, I pointed Adobe Bridge to the archives in Warm Storage (thanks @rabehnke for those!) and let it churn out thumbnails and file types among the >7000 files in the project (videos, graphics, text, audio, Excel, etc.) After it was done, I filtered the results by the old P2 video file type, “MXF” and visually scanned the thumbnails to find a match with the talent shown in the provided sample. Then a simple search in Premiere for the associated filenames from the matching thumbnails led to the corresponding sequences in Premiere. Total time of mine expended, perhaps 10-15 mins, tops! Adobe Bridge, FTW!!
