Ideas Welcome

Presented by the ASU Office of Applied Innovation and the Center for the Future of Arizona:

Calling all social innovators! Join us for a 4 day competition to develop new ideas to improve Arizona’s education system (and win cash prizes!)! Teams of up to four students will propose innovative solutions in one of three tracks: (1) Policies that address the challenge at any level of policymaking (organizational, local, state, federal, etc.), (2) Project/Initiative Proposals that external organizations could adopt and implement, and (3) Actions and Commitments that the team (and/or an organization or group of which they are a part) will take to address the challenge. Undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines are welcome; no prior knowledge about education is needed to participate.

Benefits of participating:

• Top teams will receive a cash prize or funding to implement their idea

• All teams will have their ideas shared with relevant policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and community organizations committed to improving education in Arizona

• All teams will have their ideas published in a designed anthology

• Network with local education leaders

• Apply knowledge, creativity, and passion to pressing issues

• Design and create real-world solutions
