ASU Polytechnic Middle School Robotics Team Shines in First Competition
We are thrilled to celebrate the success of our ASU Polytechnic Middle School Robotics Teams at their very first competition of the season! On Saturday, November 16th, our Gold and Maroon teams showcased their hard work and creativity at the Summit Middle School Vex IQ Robotics Competition.
This event was extra special as we had the chance to collaborate with our sister school, ASU Prep Phoenix South, fostering teamwork and camaraderie across campuses.
Here’s how our Poly teams performed:
Maroon Team placed 15th, and Gold Team placed 16th in the team-paired portion of the competition.
In the individual robotics skills challenge, Maroon Team ranked 11th and Gold Team came in 13th overall!
It was a fantastic start to the season, filled with valuable experiences and lessons. Our teams are already eager to refine their designs and strategies as they prepare for the next competition in January.
We’re incredibly proud of their dedication and perseverance—great job, Robotics Teams! Let’s keep the momentum going. Go ASU Robotics! 🚀🤖
We are thrilled to celebrate Ryan’s outstanding achievement in his recent open-water mile swim! This was Ryan’s second time participating in the event, and he made an incredible improvement, shaving off an impressive 14 minutes from last year's time. Ryan’s dedication and determination were evident as he took on the mile with confidence, and he’s rightfully proud of his progress!
Adding to the excitement, Ryan completed the swim alongside two amazing buddies who swam with him last year and returned to support him again. The camaraderie and encouragement within the adaptive sports community were truly inspiring, making the event even more special. Ryan’s journey in open-water swimming reminds us all of the power of perseverance and teamwork.
Congratulations, Ryan, on this fantastic achievement!
We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next.
