Virtual Learning Resources

What does virtual learning look like on a daily and weekly basis?

Students and teachers will follow their regular daily schedules. LS students have a designated schedule that includes Spanish and specials M-F. MS and US students follow the ABCD block schedule.

Daily Learning and Activities

K1-1 ASM Home Learning Agreements

SEESAW

K1, K2, K3, 1st grade

Seesaw Family is the app you currently use to learn about what is happening in the classroom. Teachers will post a message to their students along with a list of activities and learning to complete for the day and instructions on how you can help support your child. There is no requirement that evidence or work completion is turned in, however if you'd like to email an image to the teacher you may. Teachers will be monitoring the Seesaw comments as well as their email for parent questions. Click the handout to the left for further instructions and links.

2-5 ASM Home Learning Agreements

SEESAW and GOOGLE CLASSROOM

2nd - 5th grade

Seesaw (the online version) and Google Classroom are how your child will receive their instruction, as well as how they will demonstrate their learning. Teachers will post a morning message each day on Seesaw to explain the daily schedule as well as clear teaching points, learning tasks, instructions and timelines. The expectation is that there is a mix of online and offline activities for students to complete. Students should not be spending a long time online each day completing tasks. Teachers understand that access to technology may need to be shared, therefore will use flexibility with assignments and with deadlines. Click the handout to the left for further instructions and links.

MS/US ASM Home Learning Agreements

GOOGLE CLASSROOM

6th - 12th

Students will receive daily information through their Google Classroom. They have one Google Classroom per subject. Before the beginning of each period, teachers will post a welcome message along with clear teaching points, learning tasks, instructions and timelines. The expectation is not that your child remain on the computer the entire period . Teachers understand that access to technology may need to be shared, therefore will use flexibility with assignments and deadlines. Click the handout to the left for further instructions and links.

Weekly Check Ins

Teachers have been instructed to virtually check-in with each student either in a one-on-one basis or in a small groups setting using Google Hangouts. Teachers will provide a schedule and a link for students (K1-1 parents) to click on to connect in a video call. This check can serve multiple purposes including staying connected to students and offering academic support.
