Show Choir/Musical Theatre

Location: High School Choir Room

Time: June 19th-June 30th 2023, Period 1 (8:25 am - 10:00 am)

This class will introduce students to the fundamentals and skills needed to succeed in high school choir, show choir, and music theater. Daily rehearsals will consist of small and large group singing, audition techniques, team-building exercises, and some one-on-one voice lessons. Students will also have the opportunity to experiment with and choose SGI repertoire for solo and ensemble small groups and solos. It is highly encouraged for all incoming singers to participate in these fun-filled and educational weeks to improve their singing skills, meet new people, and become part of the Jaguar Choir Family! Sign up with your friends so we have enough students to fill/sing all roles! No previous theater/singing experience necessary.

*This workshop is a prerequisite for new ENCORE singer/dancers and certain students who are entering upper level choirs next year to increase their vocal strength and reading skills before September.

ENCORE 22-23 Captains will be asked to TA this course.
